Click here for the Amsterdam wedding overview. With the wedding over and all papers signed, we went up for the reception. Cake and champagne! Unfortunately, Frank had to leave at this point. He was sick all through the week and unfortunately Sandra was ill too. Frank made the effort to get to the lunch and wedding, but could not make it any further. I was surprised he made it at all as he sounded really sick. We arrived at the reception, again, after everybody was there. This is where people started to congratulate us.
After some time, the wedding cake had to be cut. We had it made especially and it has the lyrics to Selena's Dreaming Of You written on it. It looked pretty good and tasted fantastic.
After that it was taking pictures with everyone. Sophia was the bridesmaid and handed us the rings during the wedding, so she deserves special attention! But no-one escaped the posing, even though the De Wever clan was positively puzzled by the behaviour.
We gave Krista a toaster for her wedding. So she painted it and gave it back to us. And Gerhard and Anita came all the way from Austin, Texas for the wedding. We went to their wedding in Austria and this was the first time we saw them since then.
Lan was very very very happy for Janice. And the other picture shows all the girls coming over from London plus Amy in her pink dress. She is the one taking most of these pictures!
Cor, Marianne and Eric were not convinced about this posing stuff, but Janice got them in the end. John and Kathleen had less of a problem with being photographed.
More pictures. Janice with Bernolf and Gerhard and Anita.
Ernest made his way from London via Belgium and Richard made a tour of Amsterdam for most of the week. They seemed to have a good time. And Cees and Monic helped a lot with getting Lan and Ly to Assendelft and Cees directed Gav and Marina to the station so Krista could pick them up.
By this time, Janice was wondering where I was (hiding for the camera) and got Jan, Johanna and Sophia. Sophia got a smaller version of Janice's wedding bouquet, which looked really pretty.
Janice also found Madelon, oma and my parents...
