In September 2002, I went to New York with Janice and my parents. When I lived in the US, my parents did not get the chance to visit. As my father is a big baseball fan, we planned a trip to see the Yankees. And of course we had to do a lot of sightseeing.

Manhattan

These are pictures of Manhattan. First Time Square by night and then of the NBC Building on Broadway, the Flat Iron Building and the view from the Empire State Building onto 34rd Street towards New Jersey.

Manhattan from the water

We took the required boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty, which has been closed since the WTC attacks, and Ellis Island. The first picture is of Ellis Island, the second of the Manhattan skyline and the third of the Statue of Liberty.

Ground Zero

Of course we had to see the destruction of the WTC attacks and we went to see ground zero. The first picture looks into the pit of what was the WTC. The two pictures below are of the buildings next to ground zero and of a remembrance place.

NY Yankees

The reason for going to NY was to see the Yankees in action. A picture of that is therefore required.

Liberty Bell

We drove to Philadelphia for one day, but it was raining. So we only went to see the Liberty Bell.
