On this page you can find pictures of: From the 17th to the 31st of October, Janice took me to see Hong Kong, where she acted as tour guide. She showed me both the touristy and domestic side of Hong Kong. For two weeks, we shopped, ate, made trips, met up with her friends, shopped some more and ate some more. One of the larger attractions of Hong Kong is Ocean Park. It is a large amusement park (guess the theme) on top of a mountain. Janice was very proud to show me the entry on the Guinness Book of Records, where it is featured as the largest escalator in the world. Take it from me, it is large. We were there for a day with the father of one of Janice's friends. This is the overview of a part of the Park. You can see about a quarter. The high thingie in the middle is called the Abyss, a 25 story drop. The lady needed to ride it and I needed so sit next to her, so I have personal experience of the thing. I can tell you it is HIGH. It does (depends how you see it) make it more interesting because the sea is another few hundred meters below.
Once you've seen one side of the Park, you go to the other using the cable cart. This picture is taken from one, we are on the top of the mountain with a wonderful view of Hong Kong.
A new attraction in the Park is the showing of giant Pandas. They are enticed out of their bed (they are very lazy animals) with food (their other passion, a graph shows they sleep 55% of their life and eat 41% of their life. You guess the other 4%) so we can see them. This is one sleepy panda looking for FOOD. Of course the attendants place the food in picture perfect positions. You got to give them credit, we saw this one move.
One of the shows we saw, this picture of some performing sea-lions is cool.
