On September 16 2000 I went to see a New York Yankees gamemin the Yankee stadium. I did this together with a colleague. We took the Yankee Clipper to the stadium, which departs in Hoboken and goes all the way around Manhattan. These pictures were taken on the Clipper.

This picture shows the World Trade Centre in south Manhattan, which was about 112 floors high. You could go all the way to the top of that building, which was a brilliant sight, especially when the sky was clear.

The World Trade Center

A bit south of where the WTC stood, you can find these buildings. I do not know what these buildings are, but they look cool. Behind these is Wall Street.

South Manhattan

Manhattan is built in a grid. I took this picture because it is a real funny site to see. You can see right through the avenue to the other side.

North East Manhattan is more residential and less glamorous. I put this picture in to balance the view. It is still big with high buildings.

And finally, after the game we went to south Manhattan to see Washington Square. There was a market and in the area you can eat and drink. It is very lively with a university in the area, so a lot of students.
