The Financial Times if you want the busines news.

The Guardian newspaper, although I only use them for their live football commentary.

Artists

The official Marillion site. My old love, although I have not bought any album by them this century.

The official Fish site. Same story as Marillion. I hear he is not doing too well, but he was brilliant in the 80's.

The official Alanis Morissette site. She is one of those artist who can only do angry. Now that she has mellowed out, the edge is out of her music.

The official Nirvana site. Enough said.

The official Pearl Jam site. This band has grown to be my favourite band of all time. Especially their live albums are a treat, I own about 10 of their bootlegs and they are great. They have mellowed out over the years, but can still pack a great tune.

The official Live site. A band that has gone a bit too mainstream for me. Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi are brilliant though.

The official Nick Cave site. Weird, but good fun.

The official Lou Reed site. The old master. Listen to Berlin or Transformer and you are listening to some of the best the 70's have to offer.

The official Blur site. Never really convinced by them, but some songs are brilliant.

The official Pulp site. One album wonders as far as I'm concerned, but who can forget Common People?

The official Matchbox 20 site. Soft rock like Maroon 5 do. I will never understand why they don't sell albums by the bucketload here as If You're Gone and Bent are some of the best songs released this century!

The official Fuel site. Unknown in the UK, but I like them. Straight rocking.

The official Vertical Horizon site. A bit like the Calling or Five for Fighting, their debut album was magical. I wish their follow up was too.

The official Dave Matthews Band site. I was introduced to this band when I was in the USA and I was not impressed to start off with. But the more I listened to them, the more I appreciated them. And when I first heard Busted Stuff I was sold. Dave Matthew's solo effort is also worth listening, especially the songs Dodo and Gravedigger are brilliant.

The official Bløf site. Dutch rock; as good as Dutch music gets.

The official Goo Goo Dolls site. I am a fan of this band since I heard Iris. The early day fans say they sold out, but that is just envy because many people like them. Dizzy up the girl and Gutterflower are brilliant albums.

The official Incubus site. I never liked them until Morning View. Even then I was not convinced. But when I heard Megalomaniac I knew they were special.

The official Maroon 5 site. A colleague of mine went to a Matchbox 20 concert and said these guys were supporting them and sounded better. I bought the album, which is great. Not as great as MB20, but still great.

The official Muse site. I only recently got into them. Not all they do is great (the British disease I think), but still definitely worth listening.

The official Godsmack site. Hard rock as it should be.
